Matthew Barclay was born and raise in the Orlando, Florida area. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University in 2012, with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Economics. While attending Florida State, he served as Vice President of the FSU Pre-Law Society and was a member of Golden Key and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies. Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Barclay advised financial sector clients for one of the nation’s largest wealth management firms before returning to his Florida roots for law school. He attended Barry University School of Law on a full academic scholarship, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2018. While attending law school, Mr. Barclay was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board, competed in nation-wide moot court competitions, and clerked at an insurance litigation law firm.
Mr. Barclay’s legal career has focused on civil litigation, in which he has defended insurance companies, individuals, and Fortune 500 corporations in matters ranging from premises liability to complex contract disputes and medical malpractice. Mr. Barclay is currently an Associate Attorney here at Bolin Law Group, P.A., specializing in First Party Property Defense.
Mr. Barclay is an active member of the Florida Bar and Orange County Bar Association.
