Christopher Welter was born and raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with Minors in Economics and Criminal Justice. Mr. Welter graduated from Nova Southeastern University Shephard Broad Law Center in 2011. He is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Mr. Welter’s practice focuses on matters involving construction, commercial, business, and insurance litigation, premises and general liability defense. He has extensive experience in matters involving complex multi-party litigation, and routinely represents developers, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers in matters involving construction defects, product failures, breach of contract, and payment disputes. Mr. Welter’s practice also includes the representation of insurance carriers in connection with insurance coverage disputes and related litigation, as well as the representation of businesses involved in the financial services industry.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Welter has also focused on general business matters in which he drafts, negotiates, and reviews contracts; provides strategic and risk management advice; provides advice and counsel in matters involving employment, non-disclosure and non-competition agreements; and efficiently resolves payment, restrictive covenant, and contract disputes through negotiation or litigation.
