Mark R. Berlick was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Ft. Myers, Florida. He graduated in the Honors Program with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Minor in Information Technology from Stetson University. He continued his education as a merit scholar at the College of William and Mary School of Law. While at William and Mary, Mr. Berlick was active in the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and received Book Award Recognition for outstanding scholastic achievement in Entertainment Law. Mr. Berlick is a partner at the Bolin Law Group. He was admitted to practice in the State of Florida in 2004 and has worked for several prominent insurance defense firms in the Tampa area. He is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Mr. Berlick focuses his practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice, auto negligence and cyber liability claims. He regularly represents physicians, hospitals and health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation, cyber liability issues, and professional negligence claims. He also has significant experience in the defense of personal injury claims, first party insurance claims, construction defect claims, product liability, pest control litigation and Florida dram shop claims. Mr. Berlick is frequently asked to lecture on topics related to his areas of practice, including cyber liabilities, bad faith and subrogation claims and has authored several articles on topics relevant to professional liability defense and general civil trial practice.
