Connie E. McCarthy was born in St. Petersburg, Florida and grew up in Floral City, Florida. Ms. McCarthy graduated with Honors from University of South Florida in 2015, with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Political Science. Prior to attending law school, Ms. McCarthy served her community with the Clearwater Police Department and was a legal assistant at the State Attorney’s Office.
Ms. McCarthy attended law school at Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. During her time at Barry Law, Ms. McCarthy was involved in twelve student organizations, eight of which she was on the Executive Boards. Ms. McCarthy was selected for the Juvenile Defense Clinic, where she advocated for juvenile’s rights and helped the youth get their lives back on track. During summer break from law school, Ms. McCarthy returned to the State Attorney’s Office and completed 130 pro bono hours in one month while assisting the felony trial attorneys. Ms. McCarthy was selected 1 out of 50 in the country to complete an internship with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps during her second summer of law school where she gained incredible insight on Federal Law and our Military Justice System. Ms. McCarthy was selected to become a published author in one of her law school’s journals.
Following graduation from law school, Ms. McCarthy worked as a Law Clerk at a law firm specializing in Estate Planning & Estate Administration. Upon passage of the Bar, Ms. McCarthy served as an Assistant State Attorney in both Hillsborough and Seminole County, Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, Ms. McCarthy prosecuted thousands of cases, advocating for victims of crime and the people of the State of Florida while gaining invaluable courtroom experience.
Prior to joining Bolin Law Group, Ms. McCarthy represented homeowners in First-Party and Third-Party Insurance Claims.
At Bolin Law Group, P.A., Ms. McCarthy focuses on First Party Insurance Defense. She continues to assist her clients with her prior courtroom and litigation experience to provide zealous representation.
Outside of work, Ms. McCarthy enjoys spending time with her family, exploring with her two dogs, and traveling.
Ms. McCarthy is licensed to practice in all Florida State Courts, as well as the United States District Court Middle District of Florida.
