Charles W. Near is currently a senior associate attorney serving in the first party property litigation defense division. A proud resident of the Tampa Bay area, Charles has called Florida home since 1987. Mr. Near attended the University of Florida where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Near attended Stetson University College of Law where he received the top score in his class for Trial Advocacy and Florida Criminal Procedure. Eventually Mr. Near served as a teaching assistant for Professor Todd Foster’s Trial Advocacy course. Additionally, Mr. Near served as a certified legal intern for the State Attorney’s Offices for both Pinellas and Hillsborough County. Upon his graduation Mr. Near joined the State Attorney’s Office for the 12th Judicial Circuit serving the residents of Manatee County where he prosecuted misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony cases. In 2017 Mr. Near left prosecution to join the law firm of Hamilton, Price, & Marshall, P.A. working as a civil litigation defense attorney in the fields of personal injury, premises liability, and construction defect. While working in Bradenton, FL, Mr. Near was a member of the Manatee County Bar Association and the Manatee County Inn of Court. In 2021 Mr. Near joined Bolin Law Group serving in their first party property litigation defense division.
